Is Ai-Ai ready to forgive?
Comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas admits the wounds of her failed marriage to businessman Jed Salang have yet to heal.
“Sa 100%, nasa 35-40% pa lang (ng healing), malayo pa. May mga times (na umiiyak pa rin), pero not about the person, but doon sa situation,” Ai-Ai told reporters during the press set visit of “Toda Max” on Tuesday, September 17.
Single blessedness
Ai-Ai added that if she looks blooming of late, it’s because of “single-blessedness.”
To keep herself happy and busy, she spends time with her family and friends, goes to the gym, plays badminton, watches movies. She sometimes treats herself to a night-out with friends.
“Sabi sa akin ni direk Wenn (Deramas), ‘Mag-effort ka for redemption para makabangon ka ulit.’ May kaunting effort sa part mo. So, ako nageeffort ako na kailangang maging masaya ako, lumabas ako.”
Ai-Ai believes God will give her the right man in His perfect time.
“Maging positive and to think that God has another plan for me. Siguro may plano ang Diyos sa akin na hindi natin alam. Sabi nga nila, si God ay may perfect timing. May ibibigay siya sa oras na gusto niya. At kung ano ang perfect timing niya ang best na ibibigay niya sa iyo.”
Is forgiveness part of her healing process?
“Oo, lahat naman iyon kasali sa healing process. Pero ang tao kasi, lahat naman tayo kailangan natin ng time. Hindi lahat ng tao pare-pareho ang healing process. Merong madali, merong hindi madali. Pero lahat tayo darating doon sa tamang time. Di ba sabi nga nila lahat ng sugat ay nahihilom ng panahon? So yung panahaon na iyon ay hihintayin natin.”
Ai-Ai has just joined the cast of the Kapamilya sitcom “Toda Max,” which is celebrating its second anniversary in November. She hopes that she can help boost the ratings of the sitcom, which originally included Robin Padilla and Pokwang.
“Ayaw ko naman sabihin iyon (na ako ang saving grace). Siguro nakatulong and I hope na mas makatulong pa ako na maiangat yung ratings,” Ai-Ai said.
Angel Locsin and comedy
She shared that she enjoys working with the rest of the cast, composed of Angel Locsin, Vhong Navarro, Paul Salas and Myrtle Sarrosa.
Ai Ai even thinks that Angel, has a knack for comedy even if she excels in drama.
“Magkaka-swak naman kami. kayang kaya niya iyon and may timing naman siya. Sabi ko lang sa kanya na ang drama, bilisan mo lang ng kaunti, comedy na iyon.”
