Erich no comment on Kim-Maja issue

Erich Gonzales as ROSARIO

Erich Gonzales refused to comment on the issue involving fellow Star Magic artists Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador and Gerald Anderson.

“Sorry, I hope you understand. Ayokong mag-comment kasi hindi naman ako kasali. Wala akong kinalaman doon, wala akong alam,” Erich said at the press conference of ABS-CBN’s new fantaserye “Juan dela Cruz.”

Erich added that she and Kim haven’t  discussed the issue yet since they only see each other at work. Still, Erich believes the issue between Kim and Maja will be resolved.

It  will be recalled that Erich and Kim used to belong to the group Chiurigogobaschu, composed of  fellow Kapamilya actresses Melissa Ricks and Empress Shuck.

Erich denied reports that she and Kim had a falling out in 2011 because of the latter’s friendship with  Maja.

“Hindi naman siguro ganoon. Mature na kami para hindi na mag-isip ng ganyang mga bagay. Pang-high school lang ang mga ganyan," Erich said.

Meanwhile, Kim and Maja’s friendship suffered after the latter was  rumored to be seeing Gerald,  the former’s ex-boyfriend.

Instead of focusing on other people’s business, Erich keeps herself busy with her new teleserye “Juan dela Cruz,” topbilled by Coco Martin. At the press conference, Coco revealed that he had a crush on Erich when they were filming the movie “Noy.”  But he  did not pursue her.

“Noong time na po iyon, alam niyang gusto ko lang magtrabaho talaga at ayaw kong pumasok sa isang relasyon. Nirespeto niya at siya rin naman, feeling ko din hindi siya seryoso. Ayaw kong sabihing basted, kasi hindi naman. Hindi dumating sa ganoon,” Erich said.

She agreed  that Coco didn't pursue her.  Neither did they exchange contact  numbers.

“Hindi ko naman masabing ligaw. Siguro palipad-hangin. Hindi naman natuloy,"  Erich said.

She finds Coco very kind and playful.

Now that she has a boyfriend, does she feel awkward working with Coco, who used to have a crush on her?

“Yung look test namin parang, tinginan. Tinanong ko siya, ‘Okay ka ba? Parang hindi. Ngayon lang tayo nagkita, gusto ko lang okay tayo.’ Wala, tawa-tawa lang siya,” she replied.

Erich’s admiration for Coco has increased. She notes that the actor has become  more open to others.

“Sobrang hinahangaan ko yung work ethics niya sa trabaho niya. Sobrang  passionate sa work, sobrang dedicated.”

Erich shared that her relationship with her boyfriend of two years is  going strong.  A relationship with a  non-showbiz boyfriend, she adds,  is more peaceful and quiet.

“Sinasabi ko sa kanya lahat, ‘May taping ako today, may ganyang eksena.’ He’s very supportive pa rin talaga. Sinasabi niya sa akin, “I can’t wait to watch it, aabangan ko iyan.’ Walang selos factor, walang ganoon. Wala, secured iyon at tsaka hindi na siya bata para magselos sa ganyang mga bagay,” Erich said.

“Juan dela Cruz,” which will start airing in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida on February 4, also stars Zsa Zsa Padilla, Albert Martinez, Joel Torre, Gina Pareno, Lotlot de Leon, Arron Villaflor, Neil Coleta, Lilia Cuntapay, William Lorenzo, John Medina and Louise Abuel.
