Xian gives Kim a promise ring on her birthday
Kim Chiu got a very meaningful birthday gift from Xian Lim on her 23rd birthday: a promise ring, whose message the celebrator would rather keep to herself. She also got a pair of earrings from him.
What’s the “promise” in the “promise ring”?
“Secret!” the Kapamilya actress told this writer at her birthday blow-out for her fans on Sunday, April 21 at Area 05, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.

Kim, radiant in her off-white gown with silver accents, was wearing a pair of dangling earrings. But they’re not the ones Xian gave her.
“I kept them at home,” she revealed.
Kim spent her own money for the cash prizes she gave to her 400-strong fans that night. They had a talent showdown, went home with loot bags and had a sumptuous dinner.
A grateful Kim said it’s her way of paying back fans who always defend her from bashers and never fail to support her show. “Ako naman ang magpapa-party sa kanila ngayon,” she explained.

As for Maja Salvador, with whom she had a falling out after learning that she’s dating Gerald Anderson (Kim’s ex), the birthday girl made an admission.
“It’s easy to forgive but it’s hard to forget,” Kim told “The Buzz” host Boy Abunda on Sunday, April 21.
