Will Judy Ann stay or not?

Will Judy Ann stay or not?

Now that her contract with ABS-CBN has expired, Judy Ann Santos is open to negotiations with other networks. But the actress  hasn’t decided on her next move yet. She still needs time to reflect and rest.

“Hindi ko pa po napapag-isipan. Pagkatapos ng teleserye, magpapahinga po muna ako. Hindi ko pa masasagot kasi gusto ko muna magpahinga, siguro a couple of weeks. Gusto ko muna ibigay itong peace sa akin,” an emotional Judy Ann said at the press conference of her teleserye “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala” on Thursday, August 15.

She added that she will always be grateful to her “mother station” ABS-CBN, and that while ABS-CBN’s doors “will always be open,” the “possibilities of entering new life will always be there.”

Offers galore

Yes, she admitted. Other networks have pitched offers. ABS-CBN’s offer, among others, is for her to host an American game show franchise called “Bet On Your Baby.”

Did ABS-CBN give her the respect a “Teleserye Queen” like her  deserves?

Judy Ann revealed that she doesn’t like being called a ‘reyna.’

“Kilala niyo ako, hindi ako sinungaling at plastik. Oo, naitawid nila.

She became teary-eyed while saying that she’s taking responsibility for the early ending of “Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala.”

“It was my decision to end the show earlier. But then again, I appreciate that the management listened to what I have to say. Originally, it should be moved to the fourth timeslot. And I asked the management kung pwedeng third na muna para earlier kaming matatapos. And I really appreciate the fact na pinagbigyan nila ako.

Very hard decision to make

Judy Ann admitted ending her teleserye was a “very hard decision” to make. She said that the story could have been extended. But she believes ending the teleserye at its peak will be good for everyone.

She refused to further comment on the upcoming show “Got to Believe,” which is rumored to be the reason why her teleserye will go off the air.

Sa kanila, kasi it's a totally different thing. Pero sa tunay na salita, 'yung “Got To Believe” na teleserye has nothing to do with my decision. It was me and the management. Pagbigyan natin ang mga bata, this is their moment to shine. Ang sa akin lang, I was gone for two years and gusto kong mamaalam sa teleserye ng taas noo.”
