Sylvester Stallone makes a new push for 'Hunter' movie

The star from The Expendables is reportedly making a new push for a three-year-old project titled Hunter, according to Bloody-disgusting.com.

First announced in September 2009, the Hunter project is back on Stallone's agenda. He is reportedly in talks with Lionsgate to try and get the films in theaters in 2014. Stallone is slated to be involved as a scriptwriter, actor and director for the 3D-slated movie.

Instead of tying in with a fifth Rambo movie, as Stallone had originally intended, Hunter will reportedly stick to the plot of James Byron Huggins' novel of the same name, set near the Arctic Circle. Sylvester Stallone would take on the lead role, a veteran hunter named Nathaniel Hunter who is called for back-up by the US military to hunt down a terrifying predator spawned by secret experiments.
