Stamps Released to Celebrate Psy′s ′Gangnam Style′

Psy will be horse dancing into the post offices of Korea.

On February 14, an official from YG Entertainment told enews, "The ′Psy, My Own Stamps′ set will be sold in 22 post offices around Seoul from February 18. The stamps were designed to celebrate the global boom of Gangnam Style, including the music video′s 1.3 billion YouTube views."

While the original My Own Stamps series have usually been produced as stamp books or albums, the Psy set is comprised of six stamps, three art cards and a tempered glass case.

The stamps and art cards express the energy of Gangnam Style using pop art methods on actual photos of Psy, and adds more color for an artistic twist. The case will be released with red edges to that make it trendy enough to be used as decorative items in offices or department stores. Psy′s autographs have been printed on the back of the art cards and a printed QR code will lead to the Gangnam Style music video on YouTube.

A rep from YG Entertainment′s contents team stated, "Psy is the first YG artist to have his own stamp set. Psy′s stamps express well his unique charms, and we wish it to be uniquely called ′Psy Art Stamps′ to differentiate it from other ordinary stamps."

The stamps will be sold in 22 post offices across Seoul, including the Seoul Central Post Office and the Gwanghwamun Post Office.
