Solenn: There's a different sexy for everyone

Judging from her ranking at the recently-concluded FHM Philippines' Sexiest Women of the World poll, Kapuso artist Solenn Heussaff is one of the sexiest female celebrities in the country. But according to the “Temptation Island” star, she never dreamed of being part of the sexiest women list.
 
“Not to be bashing the list or anything, but I never dreamed to be part of one. I mean, there's a different sexy for everyone. I don't know what the standards are,” she told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! and other members of the press during the launch of “Teen Wolf,” which airs on AXN Beyond. Solenn serves as AXN Beyond's ambassador for the said show.

But, of course, despite her apprehensions at being called sexy, she's happy her fans decided to vote for her in the said poll.

“It feels sexy to be part of the sexiest women (list),” Solenn said.

For Solenn, sexiness is not just about physical looks. “For me, sexy is someone who is confident, comfortable in their own skin.,” she said.

So why do Filipinos think she's worthy enough to be the fifth sexiest woman in the FHM Philippines poll?

“I think here because I've been showing skin,” she said. “I think it's because we're in the Philippines and it's a conservative country and being in a bikini is already like, 'oh my God, she's in a bikini!’”

Solenn added she's just “really comfortable” with her body to wear somewhat revealing clothing.

“I just make sure that I stay classy. I don't care if people judge me so much. I mean, I've been like this for 26 years now so I won't change that much,” she explained.

Changes

Her ranking in the FHM poll shows how much Solenn has achieved in r less than a year stay in show business.  Since she joined “Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown,”  Solenn has made  two movies and appeared in  a number of  TV shows. She is slated to do  an upcoming album.  

What things have changed for her so far?

“Privacy, number one. Number two, I'm someone who really likes to speak my mind out. I just have to edit some of my thoughts sometimes, but I stand up on what I feel like saying,” she explained.

But Solenn clarified: “I'm the same, I have the same friends and my parents aren't different towards me. It's just that I've little time for myself and I'm not really in control of my schedule... But for me, it's a great learning experience.”

Solenn also said that, from being a “good kind of wild” when she's still not a known personality, she's now more demure.

“I think most of my being is wild. It's a good wild, not like the bad wild, you know what I mean. It's just now I'm more demure because I entered show business. But I'm really wild at heart, and even with my friends and family I'm always the one doing crazy things in public just to make other people laugh, or to make fun of myself,” Solenn explained.
