No 'Gangnam Style' for campaign jingles?

Now that the election campaign period has started, are we going to hear different versions of "Gangnam Style" in campaign jingles?

It doesn’t seem so, judging from a text message MCA Music Inc., which holds the license to “Gangnam Style” in the Philippines, sent to Yahoo! Philippines OMG!

The message says, “MCA and copyright owner publisher didn't issue any license and rights to any interested parties using the said song."

K-pop star Psy's "Gangnam Style" made news worldwide in 2012 after I earned billions of views on Youtube and hits on the music charts.

Using popular songs for campaign jingles has become common practice in the country.
