Lovi supports sister Grace’s Senate bid

Actress Lovi Poe is 100 percent behind sister Grace Poe-Llamanzares’ plan to run for senator in the 2013 national elections.

The former MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Clasification Board) Chair, shared Lovi, can make big contributions to the country.

“Especially with us now, it’s important to have someone like her,” Lovi told Yahoo! OMG Philippines at the set visit of “Shake, Rattle and Roll 14” on Friday, October 5.

“Shake, Rattle and Roll,” directed by Chito Rono, is Regal’s entry to Metro Manila Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Lovi seems to be taking her time when it comes to her love life. Although she has been linked to Jake Cuenca, among others, Lovi insists she is "not yet ready to be in a relationship."

“Kahit ako, there's no time for it. Parang mas gusto kong sarili ko muna intindihin ko,” she said in a separate interview at the press conference of the horror movie "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles.”

Lovi also revealed that their busy schedules have kept her from going out with Jake, whom she maintains is a good friend.

Lovi also dispelled rumors that she can’t get into a new relationship because of former boyfriend Ronald Singson, whom she describes as "a good guy."

"No, no. For me that was a long time ago, it's a different story already. It's hard lang to get in a relationship when you're not yet ready pa talaga. Kapag busy ka, hindi talaga eh."

Now that she’s doing horror movies one after another, Lovi shared that she enjoys the challenge of “scaring people”and “acting scared.”

This is the second time Lovi plays a role in “Shake, Rattle and Roll.”

“I’m happy because tradition na siya every year, na kasama ang “Shake, Rattle and Roll” sa MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival). It’s always nice to be part of a movie that many people always watch. Kahit noong bata pa ako, it’s always a must to watch it.”

“Shake, Rattle and Roll 14” also stars Vhong Navarro, Eula Caballero and Eric Tai.
