Jose Manalo faces abuse, bigamy charges
TV host and comedian Jose Manalo faces a complaint filed by his wife Annalyn Manalo for violations of RA No. 9262 or Anti-Violence against women and their children.
According to a report aired on “TV Patrol” on Wednesday, March 7, Annalyn filed a complaint against her husband because of abuse. She will also file a case of bigamy against Jose, as he remarried another woman in 1994.
Annalyn is also asking Jose for financial support. In an interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday, March 4, Annalyn said that Jose left their home for another woman in January 2012.
“Yung schools ng mga anak mo, tumatawag. Bayaran mo yung dapat mong bayaran, yung commitment mo bilang tatay, bilang asawa ko. Sinisisi mo sa akin lahat yung kasalanan. Be man enough, tao kaming iniwan mo,” Annalyn said, while crying.
Jose’s son, Don Benjamin, also expressed disappointment over his father. Don Benjamin asked Jose to tell his alleged other woman not to harass his siblings.
“Pinagkatiwalaan kita simula nang nakipagkasal ka ulit kay mommy. Naniwala kaming hindi mo sisirain ang pamilya ulit. Pero ngayon ginagawa mo ngayon. Kung tuluyan man kayong maghiwalay ni mommy, okay lang. Wag na wag n'yo lang babastusin ang mga kapatid ko, sabihin mo yan sa babae mo,” Don Benjamin said.
According to “TV Patrol,” Jose declined to give any statement.
