Jewel Mische mum on cause of break-up with Abalos

Jewel Mische still has good words for Jason Abalos, even if their relationship “didn’t flourish.”  she still has good words for him.

“He has such a good heart.  So, I know he’s someone I can talk to anytime,” she said at the press conference of ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold drama “Precious Hearts Romances Present Paraiso.”

Jewel added, “Pero kung sino man ang girlfriend niya, mapalad na babae.”
She refused to talk about what went wrong in their relationship out of respect for Jason and their agreement to keep quiet about it.

It was Jason who revealed on “Bandila” last January that he and Jewel’s relationship didn’t work out.  They haven’t  gotten in touch for quite some time.

The “Paraiso” actress shared that she is enjoying being single although she is  dating a non-showbiz guy now.
 
“I'm not in a relationship. I'm single and I'm enjoying it a lot. There's this someone that is special but he lives so far away.”

Jewel said that she prefers a non-showbiz guy this time around.

“Kung magkakaroon po kasi ako ng boyfriend, ayaw ko po ng showbiz kasi na-experience ko na. Hindi siya nag-work. So, ayaw ko. Mahirap po kasi kapag showbiz.”
 
Growth as an actress

Jewel notes that she is playing more mature roles, now that she’s cast as Megan, Matteo Guidicelli’s wife in “Paraiso,” Her wish is for  people to see a different side to her as an actress.  But she still has restrictions when it comes to daring roles.
 
“I decided that I want to grow as an actress.  And inevitably, kasama doon yung mga ganoon na eksena, tanggapin mo yung mga ganoong challenge. Pangalawa, wala naman kasing nagbabawal sa akin kaya puwede kong gawin kung ano ang gusto kong gawin. Not that noon merong nagbabawal, choice ko pa rin na huwag gawin yung mga ganoon. Pero now kasi, gusto kong lumawak ang mga experience ko.”
