Did James Yap defy protection order to be with son Bimby?
A few weeks ahead of Father's Day, PBA superstar James Yap posted Tuesday on Instagram a light moment of him with son James (nicknamed Bimby)--prompting his fans' hearts to melt in what could be a happy ending after estranged wife Kris Aquino filed a temporary protection order (TPO) that barred James from seeing his son.
But sorry to burst your bubble: It's actually an old photo, according to a source close to the San Mig Coffee point guard.
The photo captioned “Thank you Lord” was a pre-TPO moment, said the source. “James just wants to thank the Lord for his bonding moments before. And he knows for sure those moments are equally memorable to Bimby.”
The source didn't disclose where James is but shared that the basketball star is currently away from Manila for some personal time. But wherever he is, James must be sorely missing his son who he hasn't seen for months now.
Last April, a seemingly longing father also took to the photo-sharing site to post a photo of him and his son wearing similar B-MEG Llamados jerseys along with his birthday greeting.
“I miss holding your hand, I miss giving u a hug. Kahit anong mangyari, lagi mo tatandaan na mahal na mahal ka ni papa! Happy birthday baby James!” he captioned.
