Coco's message to Erich's boyfriend

Exclusive: OMG! Actor of the Year Coco Martin, Comedian of the Year Vice Ganda and Child Star of the Year Xyriel Manabat chats with OMG! reporter Jason Domantay about their awards. Video produced by Yahoo! Southeast Asia and Filquest Media Concepts Inc.

Coco Martin assures Erich’s boyfriend that he won’t have a reason to be jealous of him.

At the press conference of Kapamilya’s teleserye “Juan dela Cruz” in Elements Centris in Quezon City on Monday, January 28, it was revealed that Coco used to have a crush on Erich when they were filming the movie “Noy.”

When asked why he didn’t pursue her, “Nahiya ako eh, kumbaga natorpe.”

Coco didn’t have qualms admitting his admiration for Erich, but shrugged off any possible romantic involvement because Erich already has a boyfriend. Despite his admiration for Erich in the past, there’s no awkwardness between them as they can already talk lightly about it.

Coco and Erich may not be a couple in real life, but their chemistry transcends on screen.

Bilang lalaki, humahanga ako sa kagandahan at kabaitan niya,” he said.

Like Erich, Coco prefers to have a relationship with someone outside showbiz as much as possible, but he is not closing his doors on having a celebrity girlfriend.

But Coco has no time for love. He maximizes all the opportunities given to him now because knows that some things will also come to an end.

Coco plays the title role Juan dela Cruz, a superhero who combats evil forces. Coco feels like a hero to his family, whom he said is the reason for all his hard work.

Coming from a top-rating teleserye “Walang Hanggan,” Coco is confident that “Juan dela Cruz” will also do well in the ratings. “Juan dela Cruz” also stars Zsa Zsa Padilla, Albert Martinez, Joel Torre, Gina Pareno, Lotlot de Leon, Arron Villaflor, Neil Coleta, Lilia Cuntapay, William Lorenzo, John Medina and Louise Abuel. It starts airing in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida on February 4.

Every project nakakatakot. Pero kampante ako kasi magagaling yung mga bumubuo ng show kaya alam kong magugustuhan ng mga tao,” he said.
