It isn’t on home turf but it’s certainly close enough.

For the second time this year, Marcus Adoro, Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala are getting together for another Eraserheads concert—this time in Singapore.

On August 10, the Philippines’ on-again, off-again Fab Four are performing at the Singapore Expo Max Pavilion, which has a seating capacity of 7,000.

Second overseas concert this year
The Singapore show is the second overseas Eraserheads concert this year.

The group performed at the du World Music Festival in Dubai on April 4, beating out Guns N’ Roses, Train, Natalie Cole, Andrea Bocelli and other local acts to set an attendance record.

For their Singapore concert, tickets have been priced at 68, 88 and 128 Singapore dollars, which is roughly equivalent to 2270, 2940 and 4280 Philippine pesos, respectively.

More shows coming up?
The show is being produced by DVent Productions, which made the 2012 North American tour of Eraserheads and the Dubai concert happen. Diane Ventura, Ely Buendia’s former wife, is managing director of DVent.

During a press conference in January this year to announce the release of her first feature film “The Rapist,” Ventura said in an interview, “I’m currently producing Eraserheads shows for this year. World tour siya pero not in the Philippines.”

Eraserheads broke up in 2002 after 13 years of churning out some of the most enduring Pinoy pop anthems of all time. The band had a first reunion concert at the open field of The Fort in Taguig in 2008, which was cut midway after Buendia suffered chest pains. A second concert was held in March 2009 at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.
