Bela tells it like it is
Sorry, guys. One of the sexiest Filipinas these days has no time for matters of the heart. Bela Padilla is simply too busy to entertain any of her suitors these days.
And she makes no bones about it.
“Kapag may nagpaparamdam, I tell him right away na hindi pa ako ready. Para hindi siya ma-di-disappoint nanagka-text kami ng matagal, tapos hindi pala siya sasagutin,” says Bela.
Besides, she adds, it would be a shame if she can’t find time for her boyfriend in-between tapings, photo shoots and others.
'Some other time'
A case in point is a fellow Kapuso artist who bared his feelings for Bela. She told him pointblank, “Sorry, I’m not ready right now. Maybe some other time.”
Telling it like it is has allowed Bela to remain friends with her suitors.
“They still text me up to now,” the new endorser of Nisce Skin'N Face beauty and wellness chain (after Heart Evangelista) reveals.
The endorsement is the latest item in Bela’s growing to-do list this year.

Looking at forever
“I can’t be any happier,” she beams. “This is where I want to grow old. Dito na ako forever. I just want to be the best I can be right now. I want to learn more about acting.”
Bela wants to be known more as an actress, less of a sexy star. So that baring and daring she did in the controversial March issue of FHM is just about it – for now.
“Summer no’n, so okay lang to show some skin,”Bela explains. “But now that the rains are here, magba-balot balot naman ako.”
Besides, she knows that a to-die-for body is not forever. The secret of showbiz longevity is still honest-to-goodness talent.
Bela is soaking up on everything there is to learn about acting. And she hopes people – and critics – will sit up and notice, not just her pretty face and sexy body, but that fire in her eyes, that quiver in her voice that say yes, she has what it takes to be a good actress.
