(UPDATE) Baron Geisler found himself in trouble again.  This time, he argued with a neighbor and allegedly punched him after they had a scuffle in a sari-sari store.

Baron landed in jail and was released after 14 hours since the neighbor, Raymund dela Rosa, dropped his charges against the actor.  (Editor's note: Baron was detained for only 14 hours instead of days, we apologize for this error.)

Now that he’s free, Baron made a public confession.

“Noong sinabi sa akin na I am bipolar and may chemical imbalance, parang hindi ko matanggap sa sarili ko na may ganoon akong problema,” Baron told TV Patrol on Monday, November 12.

He said that people have misconceptions about bipolar disorders, which cause depression and mood swings.

“Iisipin nila mental case iyan, or huwag na nating pagkatiwalaan iyan baka biglang mag-snap,” he said.

Baron’s brother Donnie said in a separate interview also via TV Patrol on Saturday, November 10, that the actor and the complainant just had a misunderstanding.

“So on our side and Ray’s side, they just want to settle it, apologize and everything, para finished na din,” Donnie said.

Baron belied reports that he acted on impulse.

“Mali-mali po 'yung bigla-bigla na lang akong nananapak ng kapitbahay or lasing ako or nakainom ako,” he said.

Baron underwent rehabilitation for alcoholism last year and retuned to showbiz thereafter. Now, he asks for the public’s understanding.

“Lahat naman ng ginagawa ko kasalanan ko di ba, pero siguro kaunting pag-iintindi lang.”
