Annabelle explains why she joined Erap’s party
Annabelle Rama, who is seeking a congressional seat in Cebu in the 2013 elections explains why she decided to join former president Estrada's political party, United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
“I joined UNA of Pres. Erap because we share the advocacy of helping the poorest of the poor. We are alike in the sense that we both didn’t finish college but have a sincere intention to serve the masa. At the same time, he is our family friend, especially Eddie (Gutierrez), my husband,” Annabelle explained through a text message sent to Yahoo! Philippines OMG!
She added, “You don’t need a degree to help people. What is important is your pure intention. With my motto, 'Serbisyo, dili negosyo, (Serbisyo hindi negosyo)' I am in the right political party.”
The feisty talent manager also revealed that her campaign slogan is “Pag-asa ng masa, in Bisaya ang pag-laom sa mga kabos. (Hope of the Poor)”
Annabelle took her oath at Estrada’s house in Greenhills on Monday, Sept. 24.
