Manila visitor Lee Min Ho’s most memorable roles

Hallyu star Lee Min Ho, popularly known for his role as Goo Jun Pyo in the Koreanovela "Boys over Flowers," will make the rounds in Manila as the newest endorser of retail brand Bench.

Min Ho joins the roster of Bench's high-profile foreign endorsers, such as Adam Levine, Liam Hemsworth and Super Junior members Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae.

Filipino fans will get the chance to meet Min Ho in the Benchsetter Fun Meet at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday, November 16. Minho also holds an autograph session on Sunday, November 18, at SM North EDSA The Block Atrium in Quezon City (3 p.m.), Glorietta 5 in Makati (5 p.m.) and SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City (7 p.m.).

Min Ho's breakthrough role as F4 leader Goo Jun Pyo in "Boys Over Flowers (BOF)" happened in 2009. Following his phenomenal success, Min Ho kept his star burning in succeeding TV dramas, two of which were also shown locally: "Personal Preference" and "City Hunter." His excellent acting and swoon-worthy looks landed him more remarkable roles, including his recent portrayal as a warrior in the period drama "Faith."

Before Lee Min Ho arrives, here's a recap of some of his most memorable roles.

1. The bratty yet charming Goo Jun Pyo in 'BOF' (2009)

Many girls fell in love with Min Ho as the handsome, rich and funny F4 leader Goo Jun Pyo in the South Korean adaptation of the popular manga series, "Hana Yori Dango." As the heir to the Shinhwa conglomerate who fell in love with Geum Jan Di, Goo Jun Pyo may come off as arrogant and showy, but Min Ho's charming portrayal made his character very likeable. Min Ho pulled off Goo Jun Pyo's signature manga look with his curly locks and lavish fashion, which included tapered suits, designer clothes, fur coats and preppy ensembles.

2. The neat-freak Jeon Jin Ho in 'Personal Preference' (2010)

Min Ho played an architect who wants to save his company by obtaining the blueprints of a certain house owned by Son Ye Jin's family. In the story, Min Ho's character Jeon Jin Ho was initially mistaken as gay as his role calls him to be very particular about organizing and cleanliness. Min Ho traded his extravagant style in "BOF" with a more casual, young professional look, looking dapper in corporate suits, cardigans and crisp tops. His sleek, cropped hair was also a big contrast to his big curls in "BOF."

3. The mysterious Lee Yoon Sung in 'City Hunter' (2011)

Shedding his boy-next-door image, Min Ho took a more mature and serious turn as an IT expert who plots revenge against his father's killers. In this action-drama, he showed his mettle in the fight scenes—earning him male fans along the way. His wardrobe as Yoon Sung is composed mostly of leather jackets and black suits, which added mystery to his character.

4. Fearless General Choi Young in 'Faith' (2012)

Min Ho once again showcased his versatility by playing a warrior general from the 1300s. The time-traveling fantasy drama sees him meeting a doctor, Eun Soo, from the present day, in his pursuit to find a doctor to save the princess. With his height, physique and sharp features, Min Ho looked every inch the warrior with his long, wavy locks and apt costume.
