Is Cesar serious?

Amid the troubles facing his marriage, Cesar Montano is attempting to come clean.

A few weeks after reports on yet another affair with an upcoming starlet, Cesar has reportedly surfaced to put the matter to rest.

“I love my family and I will not do anything to destroy my family,” he was quoted as saying on Tuesday, Feb. 12.

In separate reports, Cesar also indicated that he wants his children to grow up together with their mom and dad.

“Gusto kong lumaki ang mga anak ko na magkasama kami ni Sunshine,” Cesar was further quoted as saying.

An easy apology?

It seems Cesar has handled this controversy as nothing more than preparing for his next showbiz project.

It all seems so ordinary.

Rumors about an adulterous affair involving the co-star of a current project might be devastating for other celebrities.

But for Cesar, whose current controversy links him with fellow cast member Krista Miller in the Alfredo Lim biopic he is also directing, it all seems like a case of déjà vu.

Underestimating the situation

It’s happened before and Cesar can’t seem to overcome whatever it is that sparks these rumors.

And yet, judging from their previous tussles over alleged affairs, Cesar and wife Sunshine Cruz have always ended up together.

But is Cesar underestimating the current situation? Has Sunshine reached the end of her rope?

Why the new allegations are more serious

The biggest difference in this latest controversy is that the most innocent of bystanders are now involved in what has become a very public affair.

Cesar and Sunshine’s children were reported to have discovered that something was going on when they checked their father’s cell phone. Krista Miller’s texts to Cesar were allegedly just too much, they had to tell mom.

And, of course, Sunshine fumed. Hence, the story that she booted her husband out of their conjugal home.

‘Moving on’

In a post on Instagram that has since been deleted, Sunshine said: “When kids are affected, unfair na ‘yun. It is actually them who told me about this. They are hurt. I’m moving on, with my children.”

Then, she added, addressing Krista: “God bless you both for doing this to us.”

The words “moving on” are also new.

With all of these, isn't it time for Cesar to take matters more seriously if he really wants to save his marriage?
