Before she turned a year older last August 17, Carmina Villarroel got an expensive birthday gift from longtime partner Zoren Legaspi: a luxury SUV.
Carmina shyly admitted that Zoren gave her a car, but doesn’t want to brag about it. According to a separate interview in “Umagang Kay Ganda,” Carmina’s new vehicle is a 4x4 Ford Expedition.
“Ayaw ko (sabihin), nahihiya ako baka sabihin ng mga tao (nagyayabang ako). Basta kapag nagreregalo siya, para sa safety ko, sa ikakabuti ko. Actually even before I started “Lorenzo’s Time,” binigyan na niya ako para comfortable ako. Basta nagagamit ko siya ng bonggang-bongga,” Carmina said at the thanksgiving party of ABS-CBN’s primetime drama “Lorenzo’s Time” on Tuesday, September 18.
Carmina added that Zoren is not the type who gives gifts on special occasions. He usually gives presents on regular days.
She added that she’s no longer after material things and appreciates her family’s unconditional love more.
Unconditional love
“Siguro dumarating ka sa stage ng buhay mo na hindi na material. Yung unconditional love na lang. Nagsurprise sila sa akin. Nagset-up sa bahay, balloons. Then they gave me a card from scratch,” Carmina told the press about her kids’ birthday surprise to her.
Carmina also revealed that she and Zoren plan to have an intimate wedding, with only family in attendance, this year.
“Actually kahit ako litong lito pa din. Gusto kong mangyari this year but we are both busy. Hindi pa namin napa-plano at napag-uusapan. Pero lagi ko namang sinasabi na kaming dalawa gusto namin ay family lang at since family lang madali ng iplano.”
Now that “Lorenzo’s Time” is on its last three weeks, Carmina shared that she has mixed emotions since she will surely miss the cast and staff of the drama series.
“Very thankful ako sa pagbabalik ko sa ABS-CBN, ito ang project na binigay sa akin. Nagyong malapit na yung ending naming, nakakalungkot pero at least nakapag-bond kam at nakatrabaho ko sialng lahat. Nagjive kami ta para talaga kaming isang pamilya. Sabi namin, kahit tapos na yung taping naming, makakagimik pa rin kami.”
