Yeng elated over Academy of Rock ambassadress title
Pop-rock singer Yeng Constantino is on Cloud 9, thanks to her new title: that of first Filipino ambassadress of Academy of Rock.

"Sobrang saya ko na ako ang napili na ambassadress ng Academy of Rock. Honored yung mas perfect word. Maraming magaling na artists, pero ako ang napili nila," she said at the opening of the Academy of Rock Manila branch at Powerplant Mall on Thursday, May 2.
Upon the Singapore-Europe based music academy’s invitation, Yeng herself went to Singapore to receive an honorary licentiate diploma for her contribution to the local music industry. The singer-songwriter believes her new achievement will inspire young artists to study music.
"Yung achievement na ito hindi ko siya maicocompare sa iba, para maging inspirational artist ka, na makakapag-inspire sa maraming bata na mag-aral ng music, ang saya sa puso." As an ambassadress, Yeng is happy to report that she was just asked to “just keep on doing what you're doing. That's it."
"Ang sarap naman noon, I just have to be myself, passionate about music and writing songs, creating albums. Na-excite ako sa mga projects na gagawin namin sa Academy of Rock."
Yeng’s other wishes include overseas projects with the Academy of Rock and a wider exposure for her music in other Asian countries.

It will be recalled that K-pop band EXO performed Yeng’s song, "Hawak-kamay" during their Manila concert last January.
Why Enchong?
Meanwhile, Yeng is excited over the coming release of her music video with Enchong Dee as her leading man.
"Last year kinausap ko siya kung pwedeng siya yung leading man ko. Kinausap ko siya sa "ASAP." Naglakas loob na rin akong kausapin ang kanyang handler at pumayag naman sila," she said.
Yeng admits having a crush on Enchong, whom she works with in the Sunday musical variety show "ASAP."
"Bakit hindi si Enchong? Hindi ko naman idedeny iyan. Kung nakikita ko siya, hindi ko alam king saan ako susuot. Halos lahat naman ng babae, sino naman ang hindi magkaka-crush sa kanya, sobrang gwapo niya," she said. Besides, Yeng finds Enchong “gwapo, macho, mabait.”

“Nung video shoot namin, hindi siya naiinip. Chill lang siya, naglalaro lang siya sa cellphone niya, kumakain. Sobrang chill ng personality niya, nakakatuwa. Kinikilig ako sa kanya," Yeng adds.
