Wonder Girls’ Yubin is Nervous to See Her Acting on TV
With Wonder Girls members focusing on individual careers after Sunye′s wedding, Yubin is setting off on her Korean television debut debuting her acting career with OCN drama The Virus.
On February 26, Yubin greeted the press at a media conference for The Virus and talked about her first acting project.
Yubin was asked how she felt about her acting debut, she replied, “I am nervous because it’s my very first time acting, but I am trying my best and giving my all. My goal isn’t to act well but to blend in naturally with the drama at this point.”
She continued, “Actually, I’ve always been interested in acting, taking lessons and pursuing acting career in college. I am happy to be able to act.”
Yubin is currently majoring in film and musical at Myongji University.
The Virus is a thriller drama with a special team investigating on a mysterious and infectious disease with 100 percent fatality rate.
Yubin showed her interest in the drama, “I’ve always liked mystery/suspense, investigative genre. Despite The Virus being a genre of my liking, I was worried as it’s my first time acting. But many staff members and senior actors took care of me very well. I know the drama is airing soon so I feel so weird and a bit awkward.”
The Virus is set to kick of its first out of 10 episodes on March 1.
