Will Wonder Girls’ Sohee Leave JYP Entertainment?
With contracts coming to an end, Wonder Girls’ Sohee may be leaving the group and her agency to focus on acting.
On December 11, JYP Entertainment posted on its official webpage, talking about the contract renewals of the Wonder Girls members.
With Sohee, Sunye, and Ye Eun’s contracts ending on December 21 and Yoo Bin’s in September 2014, Sunye, Ye Eun, and Yoo Bin have generally decided to re-sign with JYP Entertainment and are currently discussing the details.
Concerning Sohee, JYP Entertainment wrote, “Sohee expressed that it is a time of personal changes and that she wants to focus on her career as an actress in a new atmosphere. After much discussion, we have decided to respect her opinion.”
The statement also talked a bit about Wonder Girls’ future activities, which will be based on the schedules of individual members.
It is not yet certain whether or not Sohee will be leaving JYP Entertainment, but rumors are swirling that she has been meeting with other companies in secret.
The Wonder Girls debuted in 2007.
