[Video] Epik High Members Introduce ‘99’ Album
Recently returned, the Epik High members decided to introduce their new full-length album, 99.
Through a video released on October 22, Epik High went through the album tracks, explaining it’s the kind of music that the members grew up to and enjoyed during the 1990’s.
“[The album]’s like taking a time machine with us and going here and there,” explained Tablo, as he invited its listeners to go on a musical journey with them.
The video featured some snippets of behind-the-scenes of the Up and Don’t Hate Me music videos and studio recordings.
Particularly for their two title tracks, the members said that Up is meant to encourage people that the next day will be better. “Park Bom is like the plunger of voices,” said Tablo on 2NE1 Park Bom’s amazing featuring in the song.
For Don’t Hate Me, the members explained that even though the world hates you, if there is at least one person who loves you, life is worth living.
DJ Tukutz and Mithra Jin jokingly added that the song was geared towards the saddest and most pained person of this generation. Tablo denied that it was him, saying he’s so full of happiness. The other two members continued to dump the title on him.
