[Video] BBC-1 Radio Unveils Translated “Meditation-Like” Version of ‘Gangnam Style’

We’ve all been smitten by Gangnam Style’s beats and Psy’s crazy antics on stage and in the music video but if you have, perhaps like us, have overlooked the deeper meaning of the lyrics then fret no more as Scott Mills over at BBC has us covered.

During the September 20 episode of BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills Daily show, the program unveiled a English-translated version of Gangnam Style which was read out in a rather poetic manner, over tranquil background music.

The end result is what many online are now dubbing Gangnam Style’s “meditation version” and allowing international listeners all over the world to now perhaps find a spiritual awakening while pondering the deeper universal meaning of its lyrics.

As Scott Mills shares in his radio show after the translated version’s global premiere, “I think now we all know what the lyrics mean, we can appreciate the song even more. I’m quite moved.”
