Vanessa Minnillo loves playing tricks on April Fool’s Day.
The 31-year-old television personality and her husband Nick Lachey often have surprises in store for each other on April 1.
Vanessa has revealed that she and Nick played a trick in 2011 that goes down in the history books.
“Nick and I are big April Fool’s day pranksters,” Vanessa told People magazine. “Last year was a big one: we got his publicist. We told her that Nick got arrested because he was protecting me from a disgruntled fan. She was like, ‘What?!’ ”
When Vanessa and Nick aren’t pulling practical jokes, they are going on romantic adventures together.
“Our birthdays are on the same day, November 9, and Nick and I made a pact,” Vanessa explained. “Instead of exchanging gifts, we take a trip. We go somewhere and wake up, wish each other a happy birthday, and then we order room service!”
Although Vanessa is madly in love with Nick, the star admits that she finds plenty of celebrities very attractive.
“[My latest celeb crush is] Ryan Reynolds. He is handsome, funny, sweet, smart,” she gushed. “But it’s just a crush! Just the other day my husband Nick and I watched Cowboys and Aliens, and I think Daniel Craig is now on my list.”
Vanessa and Nick wed in July 2011.
