Twitter index: Tax on IE7, Drake vs Chris Brown

On June 14, Twitter users are buzzing about the first ‘tax' on Internet Explorer 7 (IE7), as well as Drake and Chris Brown's alleged falling out.

Australian online retailer Kogan.com has become the first company in the world to introduce a ‘tax' on customers using IE7. Those purchasing items from the site using Microsoft's antique browser will be charged an additional 6.8 percent on their purchase.

In a statement to the BBC, Chief Executive of Kogan.com Ruslan Kogan claimed the additional charge was to cover the expense of making the retail site display properly.

Microbloggers are also buzzing about an alleged altercation between R&B star Chris Brown and rapper Drake. Chris Brown allegedly claimed he had been hit with a bottle by a member of the rapper's entourage in a night club and posted an image of himself with a bleeding chin on Twitter -- the tweet has since been deleted.

Americans are also celebrating Flag Day, trending "Happy Flag Day" in celebration of June 14, 1777, when the US flag was officially adopted by the Second Continental Congress.
