Fans of the hit Harry Potter franchise are reaching out to author J.K. Rowling to thank her for writing the books that started the Harry Potter craze.

“1,090,739 words. 3363 pages. 199 chapters 17 hours & 13 minutes. 8 movies. 7 books. 1 legend. Thank you J.K Rowling,” say microbloggers, “thank you for the magic you have given us.”

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has asked his followers to send him some melody and lyric ideas via Twitter.

His post, “in the studio making some tracks about to figure out these melodies and lyrics. you guys got any ideas. put it with #BelieveIdeas” has not only instigated a string of 140 character musical suggestions but has his fans claiming “Justin is Perfection” because he “inspires millions everyday.”

British boxer Amir Khan has told microbloggers that they can “[a]sk me anything you want for the next hour. Just tag in #askamir.”

Tweeps are choosing three words to describe themselves with “#3wordstodescribeme,” talking about “Super Saiyan” from the Japanese manga series Dragon Ball and chatting about former French presidential candidate “Hervé Morin.”

“Topkapı Sarayı,” Turkish for the Topkapı Palace in Istanbul, is in seventh place in Twitter’s trending topics, the movie “It Takes Two” is in eighth place and the name of Nick Jonas's song “Introducing Me” is in ninth place.
