British singer Adele dominated this year's Grammys

The microblogs are filled with Grammys chatter and the news of Whitney Houston’s death on the morning of February 13.

British singer Adele took home six Grammy awards including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Microbloggers are congratulating her with a chorus of tweets.

Taylor Swift (“T. Swift”) was also among this year’s Grammy Award winners, picking up the awards for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

“People like Adele and Taylor Swift are proof that you don't need to show skin to sell records and win awards,” say microbloggers.  

Nicki Minaj unveiled new song "Roman Holiday” (also known on Twitter as “The Exorcism of Roman”) during what microbloggers have dubbed as “the worst song and performance ever to hit the Grammy stage.”

“The fact that Whitney Houston's tribute was shorter than the exorcism of roman is...sad, to say the least,” comment Twitterers.

Scores of microbloggers are using their 140 characters to post heartfelt tributes and “R.I.P Whitney Houston” messages to legendary singer Whitney Houston, who died on February 11.

Twitter users are posting, “Listened to the incredible Whitney all day, tears in my eyes all day, just still can't believe it,” “My heartfelt condolences to Whitney's family and to all her millions of fans throughout the world,” “Another legend lost. We will never forget the contributions Whitney Houston made to our music community” and “R.I.P Whitney Houston has been a TT all day. It just shows how big of an impact she had on the world. Her voice will be never be forgotten.”

Paul McCartney enlisted Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen to join him in an onstage jam session at the Grammys. His performance of “Golden Slumbers” also delighted fans.

“#ThatAnnoyingFeeling” is trending in fourth place and “#1Dinsweden” is in sixth place.
