Twitter index: 1D Up All Night tour, Born This Way Ball poster

Argentinian fans of the boy band One Direction are happily tweeting that the group will tour through the country in 2012.

Lady Gaga also excited her fans by prematurely tweeting an image of the Born This Way Ball tour poster. Now the poster is circling the web, Little Monsters are avidly awaiting the announcement of the official tour dates, which are due to be posted on February 8 at 11AM PST.

Tweeps are celebrating after a US federal appeals court ruled that Proposition 8 -- a ballot that called for a ban on same-sex marriage -- “violates the civil rights of gays and lesbians.”

“I'm not exactly ‘Mr Politics’, but Prop 8 being ruled unconstitutional is a BEAUTIFUL THING!” tweeted a microblogger. “Looks like I can put marriage back on my radar,” said others, “today is a decisive victory for freedom and equality!”

The hashtags “#iSaythatalot,” “#igetThatAlot” and “#ThingsYouSeeOnFaceBook” top the first three places of Twitter’s trending topics.

“You’re Mexican” is in fifth place, former Boston Celtics player “Larry Bird” is in eighth place, the name of Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive “Stephen Hester” is in ninth place and the “Falklands” are in tenth place.
