Transgender Artist Harisu to Make a Comeback as a Singer After Five Years

Korea’s first transgender celebrity, Harisu, is making a comeback.

Harisu will be returning with a new album for the first time in five years.

The comeback title song Shopping Girl is described as a upbeat and catchy track and special focus is being put on the fun choreography.

The music video for the track will also be released online on July 9 but promotional activities for the new song will be done after July 12 due to Harisu’s busy schedule overseas in China and Japan.

The new album will contain three new tracks and seven of her previous hits to include ten tracks in total and the album will commemorate Harisu’s 11th year since her debut

Regarding her new song, Harisu shared, “I hope my song Shopping Girl will be enjoyed by everyone during this hot summer and I want to use it to encourage Korea’s athletes in the upcoming 2012 London Olympics.”

Harisu has so far released five full-length albums and six singles since bursting onto the scene in 2001 and enjoys great popularity in China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
