Super Junior′s Sungmin Cast for Japanese Musical ′Summer Snow′

Super Junior′s Sungmin has been cast for a musical to be performed in Japan.

On March 19, SM Entertainment announced that Sungmin had been cast as a lead for the Japanese musical Summer Snow.

Sungmin will be appearing as Jin Ha, who strives for the happiness of his siblings after his parents pass away following a car crash. The role is of the warm and kind type, which means it will let Sungmin show off his warm side.

Summer Snow is based on a popular drama that aired through TBS in the year 2000, and is about love, including family love. The drama won the Best Drama Award at the Japan Academy Awards soon after it aired, gathering attention to whether the musical will be able to live up to its fame.

FT Island′s Song Seung Hyun and Supernova′s Sungje have been triple cast for the lead.

Sungmin has previously acted in such musicals as Jack the Ripper and Hong Gil Dong.

Summer Snow will start its new round of performances in Osaka from April, and will move on to Tokyo in May.
