Sunshine to file criminal charges against Cesar

Sunshine Cruz vows to work hard for her three daughters

Another estranged showbiz couple heads to court. Sunshine Cruz will file criminal charges against husband Cesar Montano on Tuesday, August 13, at the office of the city prosecutor of Quezon City, confirms Atty. Carlo Bonifacio Alentajan, Sunshine's legal counsel.

In a text message sent to Yahoo! Philippines OMG! on Monday, August 12, Atty. Alentajan revealed that Sunshine will file criminal charges against Cesar for alleged “violation of RA 9262,” also known as Anti-Violence Against Women and their children (VAWC) Act of 2004. Atty. Alentajan added that Sunshine has already filed a Temporary Protection Order against Cesar. He however, refused to give details about the petition.

“As much as I would like to discuss the case, the court prohibits us. Our statement would be that Ms. Cruz is after the welfare of her three children. That is her only concern right now,” Atty. Alentajan said.

On Sunday, August 11, Sunshine posted a photo on Instagram, which says, “Love U Mom.” Sunshine added, “You have no idea how much I miss you @angelinaisabele. I will see you soon.”

Reports say Sunshine has not seen her children for weeks now. The three girls are reportedly under the care of Cesar.

Sunshine and Cesar had a falling out in early 2013 after Cesar was romantically linked to starlet Krista Miller.

As of posting time, Yahoo! Philippines OMG! is still trying to reach Cesar Montano to get his side of the story.
