Stars share their dream Valentine’s Day dates

It’s a Valentine’s Day date that helped Zanjoe Marudo seal the deal to make Bea Alonzo become his girlfriend.

“We weren’t together yet nung ginawa niya. It was a day before Valentine’s. Sinurprise niya ako sa isang yacht tapos may fireworks,” Bea said. This, she added, remains to be her dream Valentine’s Day date, one of the reasons why she said yes to the Kapamilya actor.

It is obvious even stars have their own ideal scenarios for the so-called “Araw ng mga Puso”—and that it’s important for to celebrate Valentine’s despite their busy schedules.

So what are the stars’ dream dates for Valentine’s Day?

“Kidlat” lead actor Derek Ramsay’s dream date is a very simple one.

“A long drive out of town with someone special,” the Kapatid star said.

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is likewise averse to the idea of an extravagant Valentine’s Day celebration.

“I would love to go out of town. Pero okay na sa akin kahit simple dinner lang at home—eating special home-cooked meals and watching DVDs. It can be as simple as that,” Carla said.

She added, “Nothing grandiose, ayoko talaga.”

For Geoff Eigenmann, Valentine’s Day is a good time to travel.

“I love to check out Maldives and the Bahamas, or somewhere in Europe. And I think Valentine's Day would be a perfect time to go,” the “Forever” actor shared.

Kapuso actress LJ Reyes said: “Right now, dahil maraming work, gusto ko ng vacation. That would be a perfect Valentine's Day date for me.”

As for “It’s Showtime” co-host Karylle: “I researched it actually. I’d like to be in a field of sunflowers. ;) #picnic,” she said. “I think it’s in Ilocos. I found it on Youtube.”

Kris Bernal would also want a picnic date on Valentine’s Day.

“Gusto ko ng picnic date. Gusto ko 'yung lugar garden na punung-puno ng flowers tapos may background music—yung favorite love song ko na ‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. Tapos may slow dance,” she said.

Coincidence? Fellow Kapuso star Carl Guevarra would want a slow dance too.

“Gusto ko yung isu-surprise ko yung girl in a romantic date. Mayroong tutugtog, tapos mag-i-slow dance kayo,” the “Bukod Kang Pinagpala” actor said.
