SNSD has eclipsed a YouTube record for a K-Pop act.

As of January 7, SNSD’s I Got a Boy music video has garnered more than 20 million view mark on YouTube. The group first unveiled the video on January 1.

The feat, accomplished in a mere five to six days, eclipsed the previous record set by Hyuna’s Ice Cream which took eleven days to pass the 20 million view mark.

It also crossed the mark much faster than Psy’s Gangnam Style, which gathered 20 million views in 26 days and SNSD’s The Boys music video, which took 37 days.

The song and video are continuing to receive strong interest not only in Korea but abroad and has been receiving acclaim from all kinds of music sites, including Billboard and MTV.
