Shamcey, Lloyd shed tears of joy in wedding

"Mahal,forever na tayo!"

With these words, Filipino-Chinese businessman Lloyd Lee expressed his joy over marrying Miss Universe 2011  third runner-up Shamcey Supsup at the Church of the Risen Lord in Diliman, Quezon City on Saturday, December 29.

Shamcey, stunning in her beige and light brown gown, and Lloyd, dapper in his beige suit, shed tears of joy and held hands all throughout the ceremony, which started at 2:45 p.m.

Shamcey also constantly wiped the sweat off Lloyd’s brow and at one moment got the white souvenir fan they gave away to guests and fanned her groom.

The couple composed their own vows. Lloyd, recalling the time they ate fishballs in UP, where Shamcey graduated  magna cum laude from the College of Archicture, and when they used to ride the UP ikot jeep.

He explained that it was Shamcey’s cowboy ways and faith in God that endeared her to him.

Love at first sight

Shamcey, on the other hand, recalled that it was love at first sight for her when she first met Lloyd on her birthday, May 16.  She looked him up in Facebook. But it wasn’t a week after that he sent her a text message and expressed his wish to know her more.

The beauty queen-host promised Lloyd that she will be less stressed  and more positive because she knows that “he’s happy when I’m happy.”

Shamcey has Lloyd’s blessings to pursue her showbiz career.

“Kung saan siya masaya,” the happy groom explained.

He also said that the honeymoon is postponed till Holy Week since January is winter time abroad.

If they also have their way, the couple, wants a girl for their first-born.

Guests threw petals and released yellow balloons while whispering their wishes of happiness for the newly-weds.

Among those who attended the wedding were Bb. Pilipinas Charities head Stella Marquez Araneta, Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida and Miss  Miss Universe 2010, fourth runner-up Venus Raj.
