Shaina: I’m not insecure of Ruffa

Despite opinions to the contrary, Shaina Magdayao thinks Ruffa Gutierrez’s controversial “no cure for the insecure” tweet last week does not refer to her (Shaina).

“I’m confident that I’m not insecure. Hindi ako insecure sa kanya. So I refuse to believe na ako yung pinaparinggan niya,” Shaina told host Boy Abunda in an interview on “The Buzz” on Oct. 30.

John Lloyd Cruz, Shaina’s boyfriend and Ruffa’s former flame, volunteered to join the interview.

Ruffa also tweeted about “receiving psychotic messages at ungodly hours,” which many people think are directed at Shaina.

The controversy erupted anew when Shaina, John Lloyd and Ruffa crossed paths at Vina Morales’ birthday party last month.

“I was expecting na she (Ruffa) would respect us this time. Right after the party, apparently she tweeted mga controversial tweets, tapos iyon nga po yung lumalabas ngayon. Maraming nagsasabi sa akin na ako nga ang pinaparinggan niya,” Shaina told Boy.

In the same interview, Shaina admitted she texted Ruffa to tell her to distance herself from her and John Lloyd.

“I told her to leave us alone gaya ng gusto kong sabihin sa kanya the first time I called her. This time I want to be straightforward na para bang respetuhin naman niya kami kasi we all know what happened before, the cell phone incident.”

According to Shaina, Ruffa promised  she would not bother them anymore after the cell phone incident. However, Ruffa allegedly texted John Lloyd after Vina’s birthday party.

“After that incident, she said that she was going to stay away. She said that she was not going to bother us anymore. But right after we left (Vina’s birthday party), naka-receive ng text niya so parang it was so clear na hindi siya tumutupad sa sarili niyang salita,” Shaina said.

Time to heal

Now that the issue has gotten bigger, Shaina shared  she and Ruffa need time to heal and  settle their differences. She added that they should not fight, especially over a man.

“Kailangan namin ng oras to heal and hindi naman kasi dapat kami mag-away. Hindi naman kasi talaga dapat mag-away sa isang lalaki. I don’t think that’s right,” Shaina said.

What makes her feel secure?

“My family, who I am (as a person). Lahat siguro ng pinagdaanan ko sa buhay ko. Nakilala ko ang sarili ko kung ano ang capabilities ko, kung ano ang kaya kong gawin at hindi ko kayang gawin sa kapwa ko,” Shaina replied.

Ate Vina

She’s grateful for the support she’s getting from older sister Vina, who is also Ruffa’s friend. Shaina added that Vina understands her and her decisions.

“Naiipit din ang Ate ko. But she’s been with me these past few days, calling and talking to me, going to the house. She’s been very supportive kaya alam niya kung ano ang pinanggagalingan ko,” Shaina said.

Many people think   John Lloyd and Shaina have broken up after the former admitted they are going through a rough time in their relationship.  But Shaina said  they’re fixing  personal issues to solve their relationship problems.

“Siguro na-realize namin na if gusto ba naming maayos pa or siguro gusto namin na tapusin na, kailangan i-work out namin ang personal issues namin as well. Nandoon kami ngayon sa punto na iyon,” Shaina revealed.
