Sammy Lagmay passes away

Comedian Sammy Lagmay passed away today, June 26 at his home in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. He was 55.

According to a report on ABS-CBNnews.com, Lagmay had diabetes which rendered him sightless.

Tessie Tomas, his co-star in the defunct sitcom show “Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata” said Lagmay lost his appetite four days before he died. He was also the one who asked that his dialysis be stopped.

Tiya Pusit remembers Lagmay as a quiet person who would break into gales of laughter “pag bumanat na ako ng jokes ko.”
