[Video] Roy Kim Becomes Barista for the Day for ′Superstar K5′
Roy Kim got to be barista for the day as he kept his promise for Superstar K5.
On June 4, at the Twosome Place cafe in Gwanghwamun, Roy Kim held events with Superstar K5 applicants and also held a special performance.
The singer had promised when ARS applications for Superstar K5 opened that he would "give out free coffee to fans as barista for the day if Superstar K5 gets over 1 million applicants."
He gave out not only coffee, but also coffee beans, macarons and other great presents. He also gave advice as the winner of the previous season of Superstar K4 and performed his new songs.
When asked how he got through the third round preliminaries, Roy Kim said, "I didn′t try to make myself look good; I remained proud and haughty. I found I was a big fish in a little pond when I was eliminated once, but when I look back, I think it was a good opportunity to realize where I stood. You should all be haughty too."
He then joked, "I′m excited about the contestants, but personally, I hope most will be less talented than I am."
"The Super Pass is a great thing," he commented, looking back to how he got through the preliminaries with a Super Pass save from DJ DOC′s Lee Ha Neul.
Superstar K5 will start airing on August 9.
