'10,000 Hours' leads Metro Manila Film Festival 2013 awards
(UPDATE) "10,000 Hours," a fictional movie inspired by the life story of former senator Ping Lacson, won 14 recognitions at the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival held at the Meralco Theater in Ortigas Avenue on Friday, December 27.
"10,000 Hours," directed by Joyce Bernal, was also named Best Picture and won for Robin Padilla the Best Actor award.
Robin, while accepting the Best Picture award, jested, "Si Vic Sotto, boundary na. Ang "Girl, Boy" and "Pagpag," boundary na rin.Kami, hindi pa!"
"Wala man sa atin ang salapi, pero na sa atin ang karangalan. Sa mga hindi pa po nakakanuod, oras na para panoorin ninyo," he quipped while accepting his Best Actor trophy.
Maricel Soriano bagged the Best Actress award for "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy."
In the box-office race, "My Little Bossings" is still leading, followed by "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy;" "Pagpag" and "Kimmy Dora," in that order.
