TV5 actress Ritz Azul feels more self-confident after flaunting her curves in a lacy malliot for this month’s issue of a men’s magazine cover.
“Parang nagkaroon ako ng confidence dito sa pag-pose ko kasi nakita ko yung ibang side ni Ritz na may sexiness rin pala,” Ritz said in a pocket interview before her FHM autograph signing in Robinson’s Galleria on Saturday, November 10.
Ritz admitted she was insecure about her body and uncomfortable baring much skin. Although she still thinks she’s “fat”, Ritz now finds herself sexy.
“Ngayon nafi-feel ko nang sexy ako dahil ang dami nang nagsasabi sa akin na sexy ako. Pero before talaga, ayaw kong masyadong maglabas ng skin kasi feeling ko ang taba-taba ko. Ngayon kahit mataba ako, feeling ko sexy pa rin ako.”
Action film dreams
Ritz also shared that she likes to try action films since she tends to be “boyish” in real life.
“Kasi ganoon talaga ako sa totoong buhay. Sa bahay, loose shirt, loose pants, parang normal na normal. Kaya gusto ko talaga ng action.”
The Kapatid actress added that she initially hesitated to pose for the men’s magazine, but was encouraged by TV5 management and director Mac Alejandre.
“Kinonvince ako ni Direk Mac kasi may mga plans sila for me, so ito bagay ito dito, ganyan. Pero siyempre, nahirapan pa rin ako kasi hindi ako sanay magpa-sexy. Well, role lang naman ito, bilang isang artista ako, so isa ito sa mga roles na ginampanan ko, parang nagiging professional lang ako.”
Ritz added that her recent magazine cover can boost her career.

“Kasi dito, parang nakita nila yung ibang side ni Ritz, parang iisipin nila may itinatago pa pala si Ritz. So iyon po ang nasa isip ko. And knowing yung FHM, maraming readers, so marami din makakakita na, ‘Si Ritz pala ganito.’”
She’s now more open to accept more mature roles but with limitations.
“We’ll cross the bridge when we get there. Pero actually ngayon, hindi ko pa masyadong kaya na makipag-kissing scene talaga. Pero para sa akin, mas sexy yung conservative and may itinatago pa.”
