The R&B singer and fashionista's upcoming collaboration with the UK highstreet brand is set to be unveiled during London Fashion Week on Saturday, February 16.

As well as being a Grammy award-winning recording artist, Rihanna has always been a style fanatic.

The latest news from her camp is that a Spring/Summer 2013 collection of clothing and accessories designed by Rihanna for River Island will be unveiled at a presentation during London Fashion Week (February 15-19).

River Island's Chief Executive Ben Lewis, said that he was excited to be presenting the collection at London Fashion Week: "this is the perfect platform to showcase Rihanna's design talent and ambition."

Rihanna described the collaboration as "a dream come true for me". "I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!" she added.

The collection will be available at River Island stores around the world and online from March 5, and exclusively in the USA and Japan at Opening Ceremony concept stores.

Founded in 1948 in London, River Island has over 300 locations in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Holland, Poland, Belgium and Middle East.

Rihanna has sold over 42 million albums worldwide. Her latest release, "Unapologetic" went to the top of the Billboard 200 when it was released in November. This is Rihanna's first fashion line, but the star has previously released a line of perfumes: Reb'l Fleur, Rebelle and Nude.
