Richard Gutierrez: Sarah is not pregnant
“It’s not true.”
With these words, Richard Gutierrez finally laid to rest rumors that girlfriend and “Seduction” co-star Sarah Lahbati is pregnant.
In fact, he’s amazed at how fast the rumor has spread in showbiz circles.
“I don’t see the point why it became a big deal. Parang may nagkalat na lang bigla ng issue. All of a sudden, people are asking me that. Wala naman dapat pag-usapan na ganon,” he told reporters after the presscon of his upcoming movie, Regal Entertainment’s “Seduction.”
These rumors, he adds, are best ignored. His girlfriend, Richard insists, is as slim as ever. So those rumors about a baby bump and others are baseless.
Missing Sarah
Oh, he misses her so. Richard admits he tried to delay his Fil-Swiss girlfriend’s trip to Switzerland last weekend. But she was deadest on leaving the country.
“Matagal na niyang plano yan. She really wants to spend time with her dad. She wants to go back to school. May dreams siya na ganon. We have to face reality.”
Richard keeps himself busy to avoid feeling terribly lonely. But he is looking forward to visiting Sarah “hopefully after my next movie.”

He reports that his girlfriend is doing fine. She’s relaxed and spending quality time with her family.
“I’m happy for her,” he quips.
He’s just as happy that he can turn to various forms of technology to stay in touch with her. Richard reveals that this early, Sarah already greeted him for his 29th birthday on Monday, Jan. 21.
Simple birthday
“Sana nandito siya sa birthday ko. Pero okay lang. Pag nagtiyaga ka ng ganyan, pag pinaghirapan nyo ang relationship, it pays off. Konting tiis lang. “
He plans to have a simple celebration with family and friends on his birthday.
As for talks that he will become a freelancer after the GMA-7-Sarah feud escalated, Richard has this to say:
“I don’t want talk about it. I wanna pay respect to GMA. I’m their artist at may mga plano silang projects (for me). I don’t wanna discuss that. It’s not the right time.”

For now, Richard fully supports Sarah and understands where she’s coming from.
“Alam ko ang pinagdaanan nya. Nasakatan din ako for her. Malapit sa puso ko si Sarah. Malapit sa puso ko ang Kapuso network. I’m caught in-between.”
“Seduction,” award-winning director Peque Gallaga’s comeback film, also stars Jay Manalo, Solenn Heussaff and newcomer Jon Orlano. The erotic drama opens Jan. 30 in theaters nationwide.
