Rhian Ramos: ‘I think I’ve returned’

Even Kapuso star Rhian Ramos admits 2012 was a “big, crazy rollercoaster ride” for her. In a span of less than 12 months, she faced a big controversy, had to take a short hiatus from showbiz, and did a comeback of sorts.

“I feel the same as when I was first entered showbiz when I was 15 and I did my first movie or saw my first billboard,” Rhian told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! in an interview.  “The same things are happening to me again, I’m getting the same feelings.”

She further explained, “I’m excited, I can’t sleep when I’m at work because I just want to see what’s happening on set.”

Rhian feels she has finally “returned.”

“When I see myself in something, it’s like my heart skips a beat and I go, ‘I think I’m back. I think I’ve returned.’ I’m just really, really excited and I will not take anything for granted ever,” the “Sosy Problems” star said.

It can be recalled that Rhian had to decline the role as Dingdong Dantes’ leading lady in GMA-7’s “My Beloved” late last year as a result of the controversy concerning her ex, TV and radio personality Mo Twister. The 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Sosy Problems” is her second big project following the movie “My Kontrabida Girl” last March.

Just a few months ago, Rhian and radio jockey KC Montero admitted they’re in a relationship.

In an earlier interview, the actress said she has found her life’s “perfect balance,” as if “some kind of cosmic magic had happen and my life became perfect.”

Of course, KC had something to do with this “perfect balance.”

“He brought a very positive energy into it, which in turn makes me…  It’s much lighter now.  I have nothing to worry about.  That’s the difference now. Dati I have always something to worry about and now I don’t,” she explained.

Rhian added, “It’s so peaceful.”

Career comeback

And it’s not just Rhian’s love life that’s coming up roses. Her career is also just as promising.

Besides “Sosy Problems,” she will also be part of GMA-7’s 2013 epic drama “Indio.”

“Indio” will be headlined by Sen. Bong Revilla Jr, who Rhian has worked with in two “Panday” movies. It will also star Jennylyn Mercado, among others.

“It makes me feel importante kahit nasali lang ako (sa ‘Indio’,” she quipped.

Rhian didn’t make any primetime dramas this year, making “Indio” her return to primetime television. Does this make her nervous?

“It’s not scary for me because the character they gave me… it’s a diwata, so I don’t have to cry every day. It’s not heavy on my part,” she said.

The 22-year-old actress added, “If I came back in heavy drama, I might be a little nervous.”
