Raymond Gutierrez joins TV5

Raymond Gutierrez has made a big career move. He has transferred to TV5 as a “freelance artist” after working in GMA 7 for nine years.

Raymond turned to social networking sites Twitter and Instagram to update his followers of his newest career venture. The 29-year-old TV host posted a photo showing him posing beside the TV5 logo.

He did not give further details about the new project he will be doing, but he hinted that it will be on weekends.

Excited for what lies ahead

“New beginnings. Happy to announce that I'm officially a freelance artist & joining the team of the brand new TV5 starting this September. Looking forward to seeing you all again on weekends! #BackOnTv#primetime,” Raymond posted on Friday evening, August 9.

Many congratulated him for his move, including Ruffa Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati.

TV5’s PR Peachy Guioguio told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! that the network  will soon release a statement about Raymond’s move.

Raymond started working as a TV host in GMA in 2004. Among the shows he hosted were “SOP,” “Party Pilipinas,” “Showbiz Central,” and “Pinoy Idol.” His last project was the showbiz talk show “HOT TV,” together with Regine Velasquez, Roderick Paulate and Jennylyn Mercado.

Raymond’s twin Richard Gutierrez, on the other hand, is taking his break after his GMA contract expired last May. Richard said he will take advantage of his break to assess his career and life plans.
