International sensation PSY’s latest music video for his new single “Gentlemen” has accumulated the most views over the period of 24 hours, gaining it a place in the book of Guinness World Records for the most viewed video in 24 hours. On the 25th April (local time), an statement was issued on the official website for the Guinness World Records confirming that PSY’s single “Gentlemen” has made a new YouTube World Record.
According to Guinness World Records, following PSY’s sensational “Gangnam Style” which took the world by storm, his new single “Gentlemen” has become the top viewed video in the world in 24 hours since its release, grabbing another spot in the Guinness World Records for the Korean singer.
On the 14th April, PSY officially released the MV of his latest single “Gentlemen” via Youtube. The video immediately accumulated 3 840 000 views in just over 24 hours. After 11 days since its release, the total viewership count has topped a whopping 22 286 000 views. In addition, the legendary sell out single that took over the world “Gangnam Style” has accumulated over 1 569 000 000 views on Youtube. When the Guinness World Record team compared the rate of the viewership count from “Gangnam Style” and “Gentlemen”, they concluded from the charts that the views from “Gentlemen” grow at a much quicker rate on average compared to “Gangnam Style”.
Just days ago, PSY was in New York in the United States to promote his new single “Gentlemen”. He has flown to Los Angeles yesterday afternoon and was present at the Dodgers Baseball Stadium to show his support for Ryu Hyun Jin. And later this month on the 3rd May, PSY is expected to make a live appearance on NBC’s TV show “Today Show” and show the audience his latest dance from “Gentlemen”.
