Psy Creates Korea′s Official Cheering Song for the London Olympics

As part of Korea’s Ministry of Culture Sports’ Tourism National Gugak Center’s Project ‘Korea’s Music With Five Thousand Citizens’ Support’, Psy will be releasing a London Olympics cheering song KOREA.





After having created hit cheering songs like Champion in 2002 and We Are The One in 2006, ‘Korea’s cheering leader’, Psy will seek to create a hot new cheering song in time for the 2012 London Olympics.

KOREA was self-written and composed by Psy and combines Psy’s unique energy with the sounds of Korea’s traditional music to create a rousing cheer.

A representative for Psy spoke with enews on June 26 saying, “Next up is the production of the large-scale music video for KOREA which Psy will head and involve traditional Korean music, athletes and other regular citizens.”

KOREA will be unveiled online at midnight (KST) on June 28.
