Pregnant socialite denies causing Phil-Angel break-up
Can somebody ask Phil Younghusband and Angel Locsin’s fans to move on?
Over three months after their breakup, the Kapamilya star is now rekindling her romance with ex- boyfriend Luis Manzano. The soccer superstar, meanwhile, has already urged everyone to “move past this and look forward.”
But in PhilGel fans’ ideal world, they still continue to seek what went wrong with their idols.
Denisse Oca, daughter of actress Melissa Mendez, is the latest to be identified as third party in the high-profile breakup.
The woman, who happens to be pregnant, has repeatedly denied links with Phil on her personal Twitter and Instagram accounts.
“It's not true at all but no matter how many times I say that people will just think I'm denying it and will keep saying hurtful things. Damned if I do, damned if I don't,” she said in response to a concerned PhilGel fan on Instagram.
“I shouldn't have even been dragged into this "issue" and I'd like to stay out of it. This is all I'm going to say about this. Please just let me live my life and enjoy this blessing,” she added.
Mom to the rescue
Worried about her pregnant daughter, Melissa couldn’t take the accusation sitting down.
“Angel, this is Tita Melissa. Can you please help coz my daughter is being bashed regarding your breakup with Phil making false accusations?” the actress asked Angel on her Instagram account.
Melissa added, “Have a heart to aid my daughter coz she’s pregnant fighting her own battles and now
she’s being bashed by your fans being the reason why you and Phil broke up and you know the truth.”
The 28-year-old actress responded that online bashing is already beyond her control.
“Tita, katulad po ng mga nagba-bash po sa akin hindi ko rin po ‘to kontrolado. Hindi ko rin po alam kung fans nga ba ang may kagagawan o mga nangugugulo lang talaga.”
Angel then turned the tables on Phil.
“Baka mas maganda po kung si Phil ang kausapin nyo tungkol dito. Sana po maintindihan nyo. Nakita ko lang po ang pictures nila together pero hindi ko po nakilala pa ang anak n’yo.”
As of 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday (January 28), Phil has already denied via Twitter he's the father of Denisse's baby.
"Dear everyone, to put an end to the doubts & rumors, I’m not the father of the baby of Denisse nor was it the reason Angel & I broke up. Angel & I ended on good terms. Can I ask we stop bothering Denisse, Angel & myself about this issue. Lets respect all parties and let everyone be happy & concentrate on their lives with their families & careers."
He continued, "At the end of the day, we all have to ask ourselves the question, are we making peoples lives worse? Or are we making peoples lives better? And If we are not making peoples lives better, we are wasting our time. I hope you can all understand."
Recurring name
Denisse Oca is no longer new in the Phil-Angel issue.
In March 2011, Phil denied he has a girlfriend named Denisse Oca when he asked Angel to be his date via Twitter in the Valentine of 2011.
Angel and Phil became officially together on May 27, 2011.
Yahoo Philippines OMG! tried to reach Denisse for comment through her mother Melissa but she has yet to respond.
