Pilipinas, Meet The Coca-Cola Happiness President

Meet the Coca-Cola Happines President, Caloy

In these most challenging times, what would you do if you were “appointed” to open happiness among the entire Filipino nation? But who is the best person to do the job – someone who has rich experience, or someone who knows the Filipinos best?

Because Coca-Cola believes that it owes its success to Filipinos – they who have opened their hearts and homes to the brand over the last 100 years, it gives birth to a modern-day beacon. On the occasion of the 100th year of Coca-Cola in the Philippines, the brand takes another bold, unexpected move as Coca-Cola gives the power to a regular Filipino youth to help uncover the colorful journey towards a promising year filled with uplifting happiness for all Pinoys. And that person comes in the name of Caloy, the Coca-Cola Happiness President.

While a centennial milestone is a reason to look back at a shared rich history – for Coca-Cola, it is also an opportunity to strengthen its bond with Filipinos and inspire them to continue their culture of happiness. The Filipino youth, as this country’s future, energizes this culture, and Coca-Cola is as inspired as ever to enable them to carry this forward and onwards to the next 100 years – through shared experiences that celebrate their aspirations and their earnest passions. Coca-Cola eagerly wants to hear from the youth today – from aspirations, thoughts, and random musings – to find out what is the state of happiness of the Filipinos today. Hence, the historic conception of this special post at The Coca-Cola Company.

Coca-Cola appointed a teen that embodies the nation’s undying spirit of optimism and zest for life. This individual shall have a once in a lifetime opportunity to work hand in hand with the iconic brand as it gives back to a country it cherishes sincerely. “On our 100th year, we want Pinoys to own a seat within our board room so we’d be able to forge a deeper, lasting connection with them. It’s our joy to give this humble nation a louder voice to express their hopes and be able to reach out to them in a more meaningful way,” said Guillermo Aponte, president and general manager of Coca-Cola Philippines.

So what surprises has our Coca-Cola Happiness President lined up? For starters, Caloy is sending a nationwide invitation for us to go out and join a staggering string of Coca-Cola blowouts all throughout its year-long celebration. He’s all set to formulate decrees that will bring truckloads of fun and promise to change lives. He will form a strong coalition with the Filipino youth so together, they would make a fashionable declaration, groove to a new sound and jumpstart other projects that inspire hope. He will share with us memorable moments and best of all, an ice-cold bottle of Coke. Simply, together with every single one of us, he will open happiness.

With a Happiness President representing us from this point on, there is so much more to look forward to in 2012.  Indeed, after 100 years, the spirit lives on and the smiles continue to beam – and Coca-Cola draws strength from the uplifting Filipino culture of happiness to face yet another century. Are you ready to start the biggest, happiest, most refreshing nationwide party yet?

Coke happiness...it's only up to 5 months for their contractual workers hired by agencies to Coca-Cola because after this period they will be laid off and loof for another work. Why not make them regular and insure that quality hapiness would be maintained.
