Park Yong Ha Charity Society Launched in Japan

A charity society was set up in memory of the late Park Yong Ha in Japan, and the launching ceremony was held with fans in the star′s Memories Tour.

The Osaka leg of the 2013 Park Yong Ha Memories Tour in Japan was held on April 22. The event marks the third year since the actor′s death and the 20th year since his debut.

The tour started in Tokyo from April 13-14, and during the tour, according to Yona Entertainment, it managed to launch a charity society to continue the good deeds undertaken by Park Yong Ha in his life.

Park Hye Yeon, sister of Park Yong Ha and current head of Yona Entertainment, said in a video aired during the event, "My little brother visited Africa′s Chad two times, and set up ′Yona School′ there. He actually had more plans he wished to undertake later on. That is why we′ve set up the Park Yong Ha Foundation, so please show us your support."

Her husband and Park Yong Ha′s brother-in-law, CEO Kim Jae Hyun of Yona Entertainment, appeared at the event in person to officialize the foundation.

He said, "We decided to name the foundation the ′Park Yong Ha′s One Love Charity Society′. We will continue the good [Park Yong Ha] did in his life."

He added, "We plan to help those from Mr. Park Yong Ha′s school or others in need to start up the charity as soon as possible. More family members plan to visit Africa′s Chad and help Yona School, so please look on kindly."
